Putting the 'RIB' in London RIB Voyages

Published by Thames Rockets 4554 days ago

You may have noticed the bright orange boats of London RIB Voyages soaring up the Thames, but we travel so fast only a select few get to see the vessels close up. So we thought it only polite that we take this opportunity to introduce you to our first class boats. We take our name (...well our middle name) from the boats which we use - Rigid Inflatable Boats. We favour the Humber range, boats acclaimed for reliability and versatility. Humber RIB boats were the brainchild of keen diver Frank Roffee in the 1960s, who thought up the idea of creating an inflatable boat for his dive club. The boat proved a hit, and by the mid 1990s, Humber had become one of the most prolific RIB manufacturers in the UK. Hull With over 10,000 vessels produced the Humber range is known as a world leader. The combination of heavy build, fine lines and build quality makes these hulls superb sea going vessels. Powering Our Twin Evinrude 200HP engines are quiet and smooth running, producing effortless, exhilarating performance. All our engines comply with latest environmental standards. Tubes Heavy duty hypalon tubes incorporate heavy duty fendering and full life lines. They are compartmentalised to provide the ultimate in safety.

Seating Our seats are comfy as can be, made of robust aluminium to provide high level of support for speedy sightseeing - with comfortable padded seating. There is ample provision for under seat storage and access. Bow Platform Ensuring you can get on and off the boat safely and gracefully is our tailor made v-berth. You'll be able to get on and off the boat using integral steps and a boarding platform - it's the safest and best way of climbing on board. The guide contains a wealth of information on rigid inflatable boats, find out about our powering, steering, pumping and electrics and even our expedition console.
