ACCESSIBILITY

Welcome to Thames Rockets! We look forward to having you on board! To help you prepare for you experience as much as possible, we have lots of handy information for you to access below.

Thames Rockets operates from two departure points. We ask any guests requiring additional assistance to meet us at our home base the London Eye Pier, SE1 7PB.  From this departure point we operate the following sell out sailings: The Ultimate London Adventure, Thames Lates, and The Thames Barrier Explorers Voyage.

We encourage passengers with any additional access requirements to contact our bookings team in advance of the experience in order for us to discuss and prepare for your visit.

To help you prepare for your upcoming rocket experience we have created this handy ‘what to expect video’ a step by step visual aid with subtitles. Our team want you to feel relaxed, prepared and excited as we begin the adventure. You are in safe hands with the friendliest crew on the river!

Wheelchair access:

  • Due to the type of vessels we are unable to take wheel chairs on-board. Guests must come out of their chair with the assistance of a carer or companion. Our crew are here to help but are unable to carry guests on board.
  • Both entrance and exits at the London eye pier are ramped.
  • We board using our V-berth, which includes a small step across onto the boat and 3-4 steps down into the seating area. There are hand rails throughout the vessel.
  • Guests must be able to sit unaided in the bench seat of two.
  • Our boarding crew will look after your wheelchair pier side and have it ready and waiting upon you return. Please call our team on 02079288933 for more advice.

Guide Dogs:

  • Please note due to the nature of the high speed experience we are unable to accommodate dogs and pets on board, except at the absolute discretion of Thames Rockets.
  • Dogs are allowed to wait accompanied by an owner at the boarding gate whilst other members participate in the experience.

Quiet Space:

At peak times the London eye pier can become very busy and noisy. The Thames Rockets boarding gate is located at the far end of the pier away from the larger crowds. We will endeavour to provide a comfortable waiting space. We suggest guests with heightened sensitivity to bring ear defenders. We can also provide goggles to help shield the face from the wind when on board the experience.

Closest accessible toilets can be found in Country hall opposite the London Eye.
